Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, also known as Saline solution, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, aqueous preparation of sodium chloride. It is indicated for injection to restore fluid and electrolyte balance in clients. This balanced solution has a pH of between 6.5 and 7.5, and its osmolarity is approximately 290 milliosmoles per liter (mOsm/L).
